GPSR EU RESPONSIBLE PERSON

is it just ce marked products that the safety info applies to or all products? There is a do not apply button for all my listings but it would take a long time? The responsible person costs seem high, are there any that are a reasonable cost or companies that can help with all of this? Do you need a responsible person if there are no safety issues? Confused by it all to be honest, the costs seem too high and time consuming to sort out everything but I didn't want to lose the eu market. Do the safety labels/ additional labels print automatically also once everything is filled in/sorted out properly?

I can't answer your questions apart from maybe the 1st one - it applies to just about anything. Most of the exemptions are listed on https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/GQAYBJPNAZ2LMDDT I can't advise more than that, as I could be giving out wrong information. Each platform seems to be interpreting GPSR slightly differently.

I'm only posting to say that if you look at almost all the other posts on this topic and in this category, most have not a single reply from anyone. Including Amazon. I just wanted to wish you luck (I only sell to the UK on here and will be dropping the EU from my other stores) and bump your post - there's not a lot of time left to get ready and the silence, confusion, badly done pages on here, etc., must be so annoying. Especially if you have a lot of listings, products and sales to the EU.

Don't forget you'll need to remove Northern Ireland (in theory because its not clear if amazons interpretation of GPSR is even correct)

Heres how I interpret it, but do double check as I'm not an expert and am generalising a bit.

- If you ship to the EU (or Northern Ireland), by law the products need to have a responsible person and comply with GSPR whatever the item is (bar a very small list of things like food and drink)

- If you only sell on the .co.uk site then you don't need to upload anything to satisfy Amazon (but my first point regarding the law remains)

- If you list on EU sites then you'll need to upload the info

You don't say if you sell private label or have suppliers for branded products or something else but, VERY GENERALLY:

If you're private label:

- You'll need to comply with GPRS yourself and have an RP that you appoint by law if you ship to EU/NI

- You'll need to upload that info if you list on EU sites

If you're a reseller selling someone elses brand:

- You can contact the supplier to get the info you need, Your milage will vary. If they are a small Chinese company then I wouldn't hold your breath. A big european company then there's a good chance they'll have it in place.

That's all just my take on it so do double check!

For EU RP I found a Belgian company Vatai. Amazon does not allow me to post their website but search for the name. My contact there is called Andreas.

Depending on your volume, their price was very reasonable and Amazon accepts them.
