Amazon Issued Refund To Customer Even Though They Had Received Product
So, Amazon decided to automatically accept a refund claim from one of my lovely customers. The refund reason was ‘product hasn’t arrived’ however unfortunately for the customer, I use Hermes which provides tracking, a picture and a GPS location. Despite this, Amazon denied my claim for reimbursement because I didn’t buy the shipping through them.
So this means, that Amazon are more than ok with me being out of pocket and have lost a product because I didn’t buy the shipping through them? What a joke! Amazon is getting worse and worse. I would have appreciated being consulted before they gave a refund or even smarter, they could have checked the tracking on the order!
Has anyone else had this issue? I have replied to their denial with the same evidence (screenshots etc) but I bet they won’t even read it, it will be denied and that customer will just have a free product. Absolute farce!

To be fair, hermes are very much inclined to leave parcels in totally unsuitable places where they can easily be stolen, does the picture show the item inside the front door or just left on a doorstep or in the bin like mine often are?

Yes had several like this. They do not even bother with A-Z claims anymore. Buyer says did not receive it, then they believe buyer and courier is a liar. However, when Amazon ship an item and it does not arrive, try getting a refund then from Amazon. They usually do not want to know and make it almost impossible to claim.

The reality is, Amazon are actively encouraging theft with their return policy’s, its the same as walking into a shop and walking out with the item, only this way the customer doesn’t have to face anyone while doing it, not only that but they are being actively encouraged.

We are having similar but worse situation - we are in communication with a customer, he requests a replacement for a faulty item, we supply and “lovely” customer raises A-Z and Amazon refunds customer full amount despites us informing Amazon of the situation… we had several issues like that, few where customers never returns the product despite pre-paid label supplied, raises A-Z and again without any questions ask Amazon just refunds and of course takes money from us… customer service from Amazon completely diabolical…

Hi, I have received a refund of £2.25, which doesn’t even cover my £3.50 Hermes fee. I’m not aware the buyer asked for a refund, but it seems to be a similar situation. I’m gutted too. The email I got is also asking me for a screenshot of the 2.25 tranfer. One can’t even reply to their email as it’s not an email we can reply to. Amazon is ripping us off, again and again. I know what I’m going to do…It says I have £24 in my balance, but why is this not transfered to my bank account. It doesn’t make ANY sense.

I have had the same problem. Customer ordered a personalised blanket from me. About 20 days later she opened an A-Z claim. I provided Amazon with proof of delivery yet they still refunded her. I have since been in contact with the customer and she has admitted she has the blanket and that her husband opened an A-Z claim by ‘mistake’ and basically, she isn’t going to pay for it and Amazon won’t refund my money!! Makes me so angry that these people can get away with it!!

Yes , i had a same case , Amazon have initiate refund, i have send message to customer why he is returning -he said that item did not arrived and he did not have any other option than ask for refund !
