ISBNs for different editions of the same book

Does anybody know how to list a book which has the same ISBN as a different edition of the same book.? For example a particular book has a revised edition and a different cover. In my opinion it is completely inappropriate to list the revised edition on the original listing. A new listing is therefore needed- but , of course , when trying to do a new listing Amazon comes up with “we’ve found a match” - which is needless to say the original edition!!

I personally would list it on the original listing but annotate the condition notes to make it as clear as possible and add photos. Otherwise i’d look for one of the “duplicate” listings that may exist without the ISBN and use that…
