Multi product order to USA
Afternoon.
Today I got my first order (off another site) that has 4 x product and is off to the USA. I have added the postage of £9 per product (RM economy, second class) and it’s £36.
But I am curious to wonder if I could send all of these orders in one box? or is it easier to send individually to avoid a seller saying “I have not received x”.
Perhaps a receipt of weight maybe useful?
Thank you

Do you mean International Economy? I would doubt that anyone buying goods online would expect that slow of a delivery - the goods are unlikely to arrive before February at the earliest - probably later with the Christmas rush on.
The least I would post is International Standard and even then tomorrow is the last posting date for Christmas.

I keep making mistakes, so it is getting frustrating. So this order is in one order and I’ll get away with it this time as it’s just over £30.
But Etsy (am I allowed to mention them?) don’t allow me much room on the shipping front. You can only send it standard.
Sadly, most of my sales are coming from abroad, so what are my options? Are there cheap shipping alternatives out there? As clearly USa customers won’t want these goods at £30 shipping every opportunity.

ParcelGo is useful, but it tells me RM are the cheapest anyway.
It’s time to change those shipping settings again lol

For info, as far as I can tell:
RM Standard = goes on plane. 3-5 days
RM Economy = goes on ship. 6+ weeks
I don’t think anyone really uses RM Economy at all. I guess maybe for really heavy or bulky items, but not not for general mail.

Running any business means you make difficult choices sometimes.
Charging £9.00 per order then asking the forum if you should send them by snail transport is not a good idea. I send any order out side the UK by signed and tracked first class even it if means it cost me a few quid. I want this customer to tell their friends what a great service I offer NOT what a slow service I offer.
What ever you do in your own business reflects on you and your customer service you offer as a business. Make it worth while to the customer.

24 hours, 23 responses, no reply from OP and it’s not even an Amazon order!

Sorry about the late reply.
So the order was £9 per item and I chose to package it together when the order was completed. Which meant I was not at a loss for the postage (phew).
Sadly, the customer then cancelled her order. So all this for nothing.
