Another Day another False UP claim. Dear Amazon USPTO is free

It is another sad day and one of those days where you as a seller do everything right and source your products from authorized sources yet someone can file a bogus IP claim and your listing gets deactivated just like that.

Dear Amazon USPTO website is free of charge. This website allows you to check who the real owner of the brand is.

It is astonishing that someone can create a fake email and pretend to be a rights owner with fake registration number that does not correspond with the real registration number and Amazon will take their word for it.

What is really great is there is no appeal button next to the deactivated listing

Amazon please do better.

This is very frustrating that you do everything right and such negligence and false reports do not get verified.

Anyone can claim to be a rights owner these days and file false complaints and your listing will get deactivated just like that.

I would like to make Amazon and others aware of fake IP HOLDER- [Moderator Edit: removed personal information]

Turns out the fake website was also created June of last year

Great Job Amazon for deactivated a listing on false report without verifying

Hello @Seller_GklE1Q4NTUWEB,

Thank you for reaching out here on the Forums.

From what you have shared, I see that you have received an intellectual property complaint and you believe the rights owner that submitted the complaint does not hold a valid trademark.

Do you have any case logs that you can share about this issue for us to look into? Which type of violation specifically did you receive (trademark, copyright, counterfeit, patent, etc.)? What proof do you have that the rights owner does not hold a valid trademark and that this violation has been placed in error? Have you attempted to dispute the violation as of yet? If so, what did you submit for the dispute and what was the outcome?

Do you have a letter of authorization form the brand in question that you can submit for review? A letter of authorization must meet these requirements to be found valid.

I want to ensure you are provided with the best support possible. For this, I am going to forward your information to the Account Health Support team. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date as they may reach out.

Once you have reviewed the information and questions above, please feel free to respond here in this thread. The Forums community and I are here to support you.

Wishing you the best,

LeviDylan
