Order Not Received Refund

I just received notification of a refund to a customer for the reason "Order Not Received."

I looked up the order ID #, which indicates that the order was placed three days ago and shipped the following day. Amazon TBA tracking shows that the order was delivered one day later.

On what basis has this customer been refunded? How could they win the claim that the order was not received so quickly after ordering - especially when the order did in fact ship to its intended location?

I understand that it will take 45 days or whatever to sort this out, but it is outrageous that the refund would be processed so quickly for this type of claim.

Any feedback, advice, or tales of similar experiences would be appreciated.

Where did you purchase the shipping? Thru Amazon, on your own, or was it an FBA shipment? That will make a difference because each one has a different response.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you too and I wish I had some words of wisdom. I just join you in misery.

This has happened to us twice now in the last two weeks. We are an FBM Seller. We were told to open a Safety Claim by an Amazon Service Representative and were NOT awarded the full transaction amount even though we could prove that the order was shipped using Amazon shipping. The first time it happened the customer even admitted via Amazon Chat that the order was received and we were still not awarded our full refund back. No chargeback, A-To-Z Claim or return was opened by the buyer. I opened a case only to be told there was nothing they could do for me.

New way for buyers to commit fraud. It's disgusting!

The same thing just happened to me--except in my case, the customer apparently filed and A-to-Z claim this morning (and it was granted and refunded within a couple of hours). Then, item was delivered around 3:30pm today. The real kicker, though, is that USPS tracking showed that they tried to deliver the package on Friday but couldn't, because the business (a large reseller of the same products I sell) WAS CLOSED. USPS confirmed, at the time, that they would re-attempt delivery today. Still, after being closed and missing the delivery on Friday, this large reseller was able to file and A-to-Z claim, receive an immediate (full) refund--and then receive the item today. It's infuriating!!!
