A-Z granted after "Buy Shipping" from Amazon

I have 2 A-Z cases granted against me after purchasing shipping directly through Seller Central. ( one was delivered to a safe place - Hermes site shows this in a shed area and another order is “On the way”, I appreciate that the buyer hasn’t received but I have purchased the shipping directly through Amazon’s provided option.

How can the service Amazon provide ( I purchase this from Amazon who purchase it from Hermes) work against me, this has of course affected my ODR.

I have appealed both, 1 appeal has failed ( I have raised a case with Seller Support), The 2nd I have refunded during the A-Z review but still, this shouldn’t be the case.

Any experience of this and how to deal with it? ( other than simply refund immediately on notification of the A-Z review).

According to the policy they are not supposed to put a defect on your account but you still have to refund

More than 1 person has said they still got a defect though

From the buy shipping pages

A-to-z Guarantee claims : If you purchase Amazon’s Buy Shipping and ship on time, you are protected against a-to-z claims where a customer reports problems with delivery. Those claims will not affect your Order Defect Rate but you are still responsible for the financial loss of these claims.

It is now at 3!!! unbelievable, I am very worried about the run in to Christmas if this is going to be applied each time something goes missing with Amazon purchased postage!

Do keep appealing the fact that these should not count against your ODR. Quote Amazon policy at them and email the Managing Director if you don’t get any joy.

Amazon writing one thing down as a policy and acting the opposite way seems to be a regular occurance these days.

You can always try putting it into mediation if seller support keep denying, they then review it and try to solve the issue without it going to the mediator within 10 days, you do not need to pay anything if it gets solved by Amazon themselves in those 10 days, if it goes to the mediator that’s a different story but only if you’d lose the case, seeing you’ve got solid proof that this shouldn’t be held as a defect I don’t see this happening.
