Advice on Restricted Categories for New Sellers
Good afternoon,
I’m a new FBA seller doing online arbitrage.
I’m finding that Amazon lets me add some products to my inventory and some it doesn’t, even when they appear to be in the same category.
If Amazon lets me add a product to my inventory, does this mean i’m definitely allowed to sell it, or is it going to be turned away at the fulfilment centre?
For example, i’m not allowed to sell Ointments, but i’ve managed to add a toiletries gift set to my inventory and it went through fine. No restrictions were listed.
Any advice would be highly appreciated - thank you

Don’t… Amazon can ask sellers (especially new ones) at any time, for invoices for anything you are listing. As well as permissions from rights owners to sell and letters of authorisations.
Invoices have to be valid and dated before Amazon’s request and showing a minimum of 10 identical products.
Without invoices your account will be suspended and if you repeatedly offend your account will remain deactivated.

Also, for FBA you will need to create a shipment and send your " Real - life, actual- physical stock" into Amazon’s fulfillment centres.
