Customer refund
Hi,
A customer have left me a message saying that the device she has bought from me blew up and caught fire, and because of that she want a refund but cannot return the item.
I am pretty sure that it is not true. What would you recommend as a best course of action? Also I don’t want to be impacted by a negative review.
Thank you

What is the item? Value?
I would however tell them to follow the Amazon returns process and return the item, even if it’s in bits.

I suppose make sure everything is in order with your manufacturer in terms of safety compliance and that you have the relevant insurance in place. The fact the buyer hasn’t mentioned compensation for damage does seem a little fishy though.
I’m assuming it was an FBA order - worth making sure it was an order from you and not from Amazon Warehouse as there are a couple of damaged units currently listed. It should really be for Amazon to handle the actual refund. I assume that they will likely refund without asking for it to be returned.
