Sell as a business instead?
Hi guys,
I’ve given up trying to get verified as an individual. Nothing seems to satisfy Amazon and I’ve been trying for weeks.
I now want to open a business and apply via that.
My query is, due to me not being able to get verified as an individual, will this affect me signing up as a business entity?
Business bank account and name aside, the business address and head will be mine.
Would this be ok or will I run into problems again?
Thanks,
Parsa

If you cant verify as an individual there’s no point trying as a business yet as it still needs you to verify as an individual. Something must be wrong still with either the information entered on Amazon or your documents to still not be able to get verified. You need to get your account verified and then ask seller support to change it to a business account, in the meantime you need to speak with an accountant on whether you want to be a sole trader, partnership or ltd and get the ball rolling on getting those documents.

Basically, if you are struggling to get verified for an Individual Seller Account, then you will have the same problems getting a Business Account verified, which requires more checks to be made.
As said before in both your previous threads, Individual Seller Acct. is NOT the same as sole-trader.
Have you now registered with HMRC as self-employed sole-trader, and do you have your UTR ?
You will need to get your very first account verified - even if it is Individual Acct. - and then once done request seller support via ‘Help’ to enable a change of your legal entity to a Business Account, which will require your UTR.
I really do not think you should be going down the Ltd route just yet - you need to fully understand the implications - check out the HMRC website to understand the different types of business.
ALL personal ID details need to match exactly, and the business ones registered to your account.
