Advice on return

So I got a return reason ‘incompatible or not useful for intended purpose’

I authorised as per usual and issued unpaid label.

Then I get a message via Amazon stating buyer wants me to pay for return but not mentioning any fault.

I reconfirmed that I am unable to provide a prepaid return label.

Just now I got a new return request for same item now with the buyer stating the item has holes in it and return reason stating ‘item defective’.

I’m pretty sure they are trying it on. Where do I stand here?

You can close the second return request as being duplicate.

I have a similar problem with a return and am hoping someone will be able to assist. Customer bought item but the amazon page was not working correctly and he thought he was getting 5 items for the price of 1. I accepted the return and asked him to ship the product to me at his expense and I would compensate him for the purchase price and shipping. He replied he didn’t have to pay return shipping because it was my fault. I agreed and bought prepaid shipping label yesterday. Today a new message says he wants 8.50 quid for shipping, I’m not sure what to reply.

Did you authorise both Returns?
If not, which did you authorise and what did you do with the other one?
