Marketplace facilitator order
Today we have spotted a “Marketplace facilitator order”. We are UK based (VAT registered) and only ship to the UK. I suspect the reason for this order being a Marketplace facilitator order" is that the customer is in Jersey.
The problem is we sell mainly used mobile phones and the majority of our stock is sold under the Marginal VAT scheme so Amazon are collecting the incorrect TAX amount on these orders.
Can we opt out of this or can we stop shipping to the channel islands?

You’ll need to remove Jersey from your shipping templates

Do these Marketplace facilitator orders apply to Isle of Man also?

Amazon don’t support this. As you’ve said, you need to ensure that you remove all destinations where VAT calculation might come into play, which includes all exports.
I also am under the impression that you cannot use the margin scheme for sales to Northern Ireland so there are significant issues trying to run a VAT margin scheme business on Amazon.

Just received an order from jersey and ill get 15.46 instead of 18.77 i usually get. I do get quite a lot of orders from jersey (presumably as others have switched them off. Ive had to switch off channel islands, i cant decide pricing based on the chance someone from jersey might buy it.
