VTR And bulk batch discounts on Royal Mail Account
Hi, 2 questions…
-
Am I right in thinking that selecting stamps and franked items only works for items under £5 in value? I send a fair few things for between £5-8 that I don
t send tracked and just use the franking machine. I always select stamps/franking from the drop down menu but my VTR is under 80%, I just don
t know what else it can be that`s causing it to be low as my Royal Mail account is linked to my amazon which I buy RM24 & 48 through. Any items like large letter or parcel signed for I buy straight through amazon. I have been back over all the orders for 60 days about a month ago so it cant be that I have missed any franked ones. -
I saw somewhere on my Royal Mail account it said to try to group things in larger batches (i.e. don`t manifest them in small ones?) to receive a bulk dispatch discount? Is this correct and does anyone know how many items we are talking here? I send roughly 20/30 per day both Royal Mail 24 & 48.
Thanks in advance

Is your rm account overwriting the ones you mark as stamps / franking?
You can mark any value as that it’s no issue but if you’ve got a linked account does it confirm dispatch?

For several days I have been trying to figure it out logically and I have come to the conclusion that you have to thinking like Amazon. Forget about counting shipments sent by Buy shiping and stamps/franked. Only Shipments that you ship with RM OBA 24/48 give you the result you got. This is my point of view.

The value doesn’t matter you can send any value using Stamps/Franked. Amazon do say it is just for letter products that you should be using Stamps/Franking for but I don’t think they enforce it, the only way they could is by using the item dimensions on the listing.
Have you downloaded your VTR report to identify which shipments are not valid for VTR. This will give you more of an idea of what is going wrong.

probably RM account is integrated with Amazon.
If you are using OBA RM CRL 24 and 48 the reason for the low VTR is when you Track your item you have below track box info:
“An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item”
important : Im talking about shipments with delivery confirmation rather than full tracking

try call to RM or write and atach VTR report You’ll see what they say.
I had a problem with confirming the delivery, they wrote back that it is a privilege not an obligation for which I pay, that is, that I should be happy with what I have. so now i use amazon buy shipping.

We had the same thing happen to us, except that we lost a category and are close to losing another, before we found out due to VTR dropping below 80%. Mostly, our items are fulfilled by Amazon, but we do offer some variations shipped via our own warehouse which is integrated with C/D. These are mostly 5-10 pound purchases shipped via RM 48/24 large letters.
We also sell on multiple other platforms including our own website, so we cannot turn off auto-dispatch. We just had to stop selling the variations that are not being shipped by Amazon.
Might be worth noting here that all customers were receiving their goods and we have always maintained a 100% seller feedback score, but due to RM posties not scanning, we lost the our privileges to sell certain items via our own warehouse.
Kinda silly really, but this is Amazon’s playground.

Yes royal mail terms state that
Yes royal mail DOES NOT do this at all when you have amazon connected to your royal mail account
Yes they should batch same service same day to create a single entry
I have been complaining about this for a year now, finally got a response that it will not happen this month
Then doing a sample true batch on my post across the board - we have two different amazon accounts plus regular rm account so 3 entries per day, the post actually would work out to be slightly more if batched together
C’est la vie!
