Chancellors statement

From the beeb
Presume he’s talking about about the new online sales tax they are pushing for or is this something already in place and the sales tax is on top ?!

I believe the 3 month consultation period on the online sales tax closes tomorrow

I believe he is referring to the current consultation which is looking for a replacement for the Digital Sales Tax which was always supposed to be a temporary tax.

In the consultation the tax is only for businesses that generate more than £2 million of sales then it is levied at 1%

What is unclear is for Amazon sellers is if the tax would be levied at individual sellers or the entire marketplace. If it is individual sellers it won’t impact all but the bigger sellers, if it as marketplace level then it would impact all sellers as Amazon would pass this on to us
