Anyone know how to download/scrape a copy of my Inventory?
Hi everyone.
I'm a small sole-trader, selling books, only on Amazon UK.
With the previous Inventory system, it was trivial to copy and paste data into a spreadsheet and have a copy which I could use for checks, comparisons and accounting. The new Inventory system is a strange beast and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to have a copy on my hard drive. Even such a simple process as selecting everything, doing control-c and then control-v into a text editor does not get everything on the page. I've tried this with different browsers and also on a linux box.
Is anyone doing this successfully? I have just over 1,000 items of stock. I need to be able to make a copy to help my management, but my income does not make it worth subscribing to some kind of inventory manager. I just need a simple copy. Ideally I'd like to do this for free, either by copying or scraping my data, as I did for many years previously. Surely there must be some simple way this can be done!
Any advice would be appreciated.

I know what you mean—it can be a bit tricky to find where everything is in the new system. Fortunately, there are a few ways to get the data you need for free without an inventory management tool. Here are some options that might help:
- All Listings Report: You can get a full download of your product catalog by going to "Reports" > "Inventory Reports" and selecting "All Listings Report" as the report type. This should give you most of the essential data for each listing.
- Accounting Information: For anything related to payments or transactions, the Payments Settlements Report might be useful. You can download this by going to "Payments" > "All Statements", and it will have data that could assist with accounting needs.
- Comparing Listing Changes: If you’re trying to track when listing data changes over time, Amazon has a "Reverse Flat File" feature. You can request this from Seller Support, and it will allow you to keep a snapshot of listing details for easier comparisons.
- Web Scraping Limitations: As you’ve considered web scraping, just keep in mind that some attributes (like seller SKUs) aren’t displayed on the front end, so scraping alone might not capture everything.

I had to download a full inventory so that I could update the country of origin details for each product.
If you send a message to seller support and ask them to release Category Listings Reports, you will then be able to go into your inventory reports and download your full inventory that includes every field that you would need.
Reports > Inventory Reports and then select Report Type: "Category Listings Reports"
It may take a few minutes to generate depending on how big your inventory is but this will give you a CSV spreadsheet with every item you sell.
