Urgent: Need Clarification on Non-Compliant GCC/UL-4200A Submissions
I received your feedback on our GCC/UL-4200A submissions and for some of the ASINs, you said they were non-compliant, but you did not give a specific reason why. May I ask if it's a problem with the product picture, the GCC, or the UL-4200A test report?
Hope you can give us more details, for example, is the GCC report missing something? So we can improve and submit again as soon as possible. We are taking the loss.

Hi there @Seller_63JIxT0nAB6cZ,
Please note that this is the Amazon Seller Forum and while you can connect with Amazon Community Managers like myself there are lots of other sellers and you are not writing exclusively to Amazon.
Regarding your concerns with your products, your products have been identified as containing a Consumer Button Cell Battery which currently requires documentation. The team replied to you in a case with what is missing from your documentation:
- Images showing product model/item number, relevant safety information, compliance markings, hazard warnings, and all sides of the product packaging;
- Product images as evidence of compliance with the following:
- i) Precautionary labeling statement requirements (Public Law 117-171)
- ii) Reese’s Law Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPR) on labelling of consumer product button cell or coin batteries
Amazon won't generally tell you specifically is wrong with the documentation however you can see the missing documents in the case in your Case Log. I would recommend working with your experts to ensure you have covered all your bases. Thank you for your understanding. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
-Glenn

Amazon won't ever tell you what is wrong with your submission. A long term seller support person told me this on the phone. This is Amazon's official policy(!)
So the only thing you can do is try to guess, and resubmit. The seller support person told me that the worst thing you can do is to make NO changes and resubmit. You just have to try to guess or try to send more photos or make some other change to shake their muddy AI brains loose.
I had 6 products in total. 5 were gradually approved over about 1-2 month time period. The set of documents and images and GCC were identical except for different photos and item numbers of course.
The sixth product was rejected 3 times with no explanation other than to just repeat the "rules" (like Glenn_Amazon just did to you in his response). I would change something and resubmit. Wait, wait, wait. Rejected. Then change something else and resubmit. wait, wait, wait. Rejected. Finally, for some unknown reason, it was approved last night.
Only lost $$$ in sales/profit, but no big deal, right? I'm hoping I can print out all of these seller "support" emails, cut them into cash-sized pieces, and take them to my bank to deposit them instead of actual cash.
(half cry, half laugh emoji goes here)

The UL4200A report and GCC certificate we made were approved within 2 days after submission.

Sorry for the bother, but how did you guys get the gcc and test report done? Is this something we do ourselves or did you guys outsource it to someone to get done?
