Buyer changed his mind.

I'm quite new on Amazon. I sold a something and buyer requested return because he found it cheaper elsewhere. Amazon automatically authorised it. After a week I had no returns, so I contacted buyer who said he doesn’t want to return the item anymore. I requested him to close the return but it's still open.

What do I do now? Does It stay open and for how long?

You I believe can mark it as closed. Otherwise just ignore it, it will drop off after about 2 months I think?

As long as Amazon have not auto-refunded the buyer you don't need to do anything. It will stay open for quite a time (I had one still open after 12 months once!). It will eventually close.
