Error Listing A New Product (UK)
Hello to all,
I’m hoping that one lovely individual can provide me with some guidence.
I am a new seller on Amazon and have just purchased a set of GS1 UK barcodes (the starter 10).
I am trying to list my first ever product on Amazon and I have received this message after entering my EAN barcode:
The value ‘x’ specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value ‘x’ for ASIN z in Amazon’s catalogue. If this is ASIN ‘x’, update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifiying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc).
I have checked ALL 10 of the codes given and it’s the same thing.

Firstly, enter the barcode numbers in the search bar of the buying site to check if they are in use by someone else.

And secondly this also happens when the product you are trying to list is either already in the database (in which case you will need to use the existing listing) or you are not permitted to list the product in the first place. Is this product your own or a brand that you wish to sell?

Generic - also emailing seller support as we speak and they told me to use Amazon’s value (meaning the data they already hold) and then submit a request to change the details.

I am also having the same issues, I feel amazon is pushing for more sellers to become branded.
