Amazon are blind

I have just had an A-Z case found against me, and customer refunded, for item not received. I did send it tracked and tracking shows delivered on time. And I know unless the item received has a picture of the customer holding their birth certificate to prove who they are and address, and signature to ensure delivered to the correct address, Amazon will not accept that as proof.
But, How about a message, in Amazon, From the customer, on the day they received the item, actually stating that they had received the item? do you not think that is proof enough?
Because the buyer did do just that and yet we still lost the case. I have appealed but come on, if the customer is stating in Amazon messages they have the item, how can they 2 months later claim they never did? And worse Amazon go along with that. Hoping someone actually reads the appeal.

It seems to be the way now, that the customer is automatically granted the win.
But on appeal, as long as tracking was uploaded at the time of dispatch, then you should be able to win it.

Buyer is always right.

No matter if it’s £3 item or £1000 item, buyer is always right.

A lot of people are in debt this year for Christmas, so yes everyone will try to get free stuff from you.

We had the same situation when a customer opened a case for an item not received after more than a YEAR (have no idea how). I did not have any tracking details anymore though I had a message from the customer stating that the item was received. I appealed case with screenshots of those messages with highlighted order ID and got reimbursed. I think the customer got the money as well and amazon reimbursed us from their pocket.
Its funny with how many madness you can get away in Amazon.

Hi;

In your sales record there is a box for making comments “to self” ! Put all the details and specifically reference the customer feedback / message accordingly.

I have been told, and seen it works, that when a “human” reviews the case they look at this and it is taken in to account.

Hope this helps

We had a buyer claim INR, filed and won an AtoZ …

After a week we have written to them twice, and asked them to reconfirm non receipt, so we can claim from RM, but no response …

Clearly a con…!!

Request a POD signature proof from the courier, delivery address needs to be on the same document and it has to be saved as a PDF, we’ve won our last 3 with this.

Also spell it out to them, they wont read the document, you literally have to bullet point everything that is on the document that they could just read but don’t or chose not to. Treat it as is your explaining the document to a child and you should have a good chance. Remember Amazon are always going to go in the customers favour unless you make it so clear and so obvious that even a 3 year old can understand your appeal. Then its 50/50 lol

Email/Post the customer your proof. Let them know that they have 3 days to call you to make the payment or you’ll start the legal process to reclaim your money plus your admin costs.

You correct - Amazon are blind.

Algorithms do not have eyes - they cannot see what is in front of them.
Algorithms do not have ears - they cannot hear an appeal.
Algorithms do not have a brain - they cannot consider circumstances.

It is a Yes/No world where reality rarely exists and less often takes it into account.
