Abuse of returns system
Four weeks ago a customer bought 2 boxed vintage ornaments and paid for next day delivery. Obviously a gift. No complaint and items were perfect. Three weeks later Amazon authorise return based on not fit for purpose intended! Apparently I have paid for return. Contacted customer who quoted label Problem and not fit for gift after 3 weeks. Asked for photo but no response. Parcel arrived today both perfect but a sticky label less than one cm square on one box. Nothing on the other. Now I have to refund the next day delivery charge as well as the 2 items and return cost. Any advice please.

I believe on Not Fit For Purpose return reason - you can deduct the label cost.

And the next day delivery additional cost doesn’t need to be refunded

You may want to readup on the Amazon Return Policies as nothing I have read there is an abuse of the return system. Customers can return most item for ANY reason within 30 days. You’ve actually got lucky that they chose Not fit for purpose as a reason

Here is a list of return reasons and whether buyer or seller is responsible for the return costs.
