Individual - Legal Entity - Right or Wrong?

Any one else been selling as individual for over a year and all of a sudden account has been deactivated and keep getting told my legal entity is incorrect as INDIVIDUAL is for no profit only?

It never said anything about non profit when signing up. And I’m not a business or sole trader so don’t have a UTR number. What do I do to unblock the account ??(

Have you been selling multiple of the same item or new items?

Yes and yes.

However so does a few friends of mine and they don’t have the same issue?

And you should be declaring all your profits to hmrc and paying tax on them too via your tax return

How have you been paying tax on your profits then

You also state you have been selling this way for over a year but this is a relatively new profile, you didn’t open a second account did you?

If you are buying new items to sell on for profit then, in the eyes of the law, you ARE a business, and must be registered as such with HMRC, keep accounts and file an annual tax return, and have a Business Seller accoun ton Amazon, not an Individual Account which is only for selling off your own personal second-hand items…

You need to register as a sole trader or set up a ltd company if doing over £1000 a year in sales.
