Black Friday window from 21 Nov 2024, 00:00 GMT - 2 Dec 2024, 23:59 GMT?

I have just noticed the the Black Friday deal window is 10 days +. I may be mistaken but I thought it was just one day in previous years. Does this mean I will need to sell my products at rediculously discounted prices (determined by Amazon) for this whole period to compete? If thats what they expect I may as well stay at home!

It may have been just one day years back however now it seems many retailers are calling it something like "black November" rather than just one day. Seems to take a little out of the fun for bargain shopping but none the less, people like a sale!

It is up to you what price you sell your products during the Black Friday event but the bigger discounts do get bigger sales. I would not class a minimum 15/20% discount too ridiculous but that is subject to personal opinion and if you are unable to justify the reduction on your item due to profit margin, then you are not forced to put the item on sale.

However if you are creating a prime exclusive discount for the Black Friday event then you must keep the discount between 21st November midnight and 3rd December as these cannot be edited for this event. There are guidelines to follow regarding discounts and other criteria including:

  • The discount must be at least 20% off the non-prime member non-promotional price.
  • The discount must be at most 80% off the non-Prime member, non-promotional price.
  • The Prime Exclusive Discount price must be 15.00% lower than the reference price (that is, list price or standard price).
