I'm not 100% sure what the issue is.

But i think your issue is listings being setup with the brand Generic when they are actually a branded product.

As I understand, it is now not possible to add your own offer to a Generic listing.

You could report the listing, but doubt amazon will do anything.

For example I see

lubricant for men by a brand I know and got

I click add a product and I see error and cannot add and edit

product is not generic, it's branded

what is more funny, few sellers sell this fake-generic product and I cannot

what ean, gtin they use to create offer?

this is crazy, soon all offers will be generic

they may have bought their own GTIN from GS1 or managed to get GTIN exemption for generic.

Or they could be creating the listing under generic to avoid people joining the listing.....like they do with Brand registry on popular branded products.

A lot of sellers are listing generic as they can no-longer list under the brand, as apparently around covid time amazon decided to protect brands as they were selling their products themselves. Now everything is back to normal the brands do not care but amazon have not changed anything. You can sell a brand but have to list it as generic and then put your brand in on producer it seems the only way round.

Equally, I have had listings which were branded and amazon off their own back have changed the listing to generic, it is all a bit strange.

The issue with all of this is you'll end up with tens of identical 'generic' listings as only one can list on it.

So amazon becomes ebay basically.
