Labelling GS1/EAN v. Amazon Labels

I read that amazon required sellers to get a GS1/EAN barcode.
Is this barcode number just to be put in the ‘‘Product ID’’ section when registering the product?

When I put my listing on amazon will amazon automatically give me a _different_ barcode that I can print off and attach to my units?

Finally, do I need to put anything else on the label e.g. country of origin etc.

Thanks in advance, I am very confused regarding GS1/EAN v. Amazon Labels.

A barcode is required when listing although in some cases, you can apply for an exemption (look it up in help)

If fulfilling by merchant (FBM) you don’t need a physical barcode on your product

If fulfilling by Amazon (FBA), a barcode is needed. If you are commingling (look it up in help), the EAN/UPC barcode for the product is enough. If not commingling (the most common), you need to use the FNSKU barcode that is issued by Amazon. When creating a shipment, the system will offer you the option to print these labels if you don’t have them already. The labels need to fully cover any other barcode on the product.

The FNSKU label includes the FNSKU code, the name of the product and NEW or USED and looks like this:
Untitled
