Getting a GTIN exemption is impossible
Hi all
I am really struggling
I have 3 brands in different categories, I have registered myself as a sole trader, set up my amazon sellers account all properly and ready to go.
Then I come to listing my products, I have applied for the GTIN exemptions for my own-branded products, the branding is clearly printed on the products and packaging as required and they are in my hand, on a table etc, but every single time I get the reply “these are not real-world images” or “the branding appears to be computer generated”
I eventually (after a long conversation with seller support) was told one of my images meet the criteria and to apply again and it would be ok, then when I applied again, I was told they were not real-world images!
I’m really lost for what to do, I find it hard to believe anyone passes this exemption process, and yet there are millions of products by different small brands on amazon (for example - sunglasses), how are they doing it?
Any help would be really appreciated, thank you!

I’ve just had the same “computer generated” crap from seller support about a brand name, that isn’t even mine, that is printed directly onto the back of the card.
I sent about 6 images, all from different angles, one of them nearly flush with the card to prove it wasn’t a sticker, others with the card standing up, lying down etc.
If I could generate logos all these different images so perfectly I wouldn’t be selling cards on Amazon!
Just keep reopening it and sending more photos, I am hoping someone with half a brain cells looks at them … sometime … maybe…

unfortunately there is nothing you can do until you convince the bots that the images are real, I’ve had to reopen a few approvals 2-3 times and attach a few new images each time but usually persistence pays off.

I cannot send you a private message rather than fill up this thread, one of my products is a accessories bag for sports, my brand is printed on the bag

Registering with GS1 to get GTIN numbers costs £50 a year for 10 products. Its a really easy process & has surely got to be easier that arguing with the Amazbots
