Unfortunately, a problem occurred during shipping and we had to cancel your delivery
Two customers have messaged me today saying they have received messages from Amazon.co.uk stating that there is a problem with their delivery and they are going to receive a refund.
Exact message below:
Hi Buyers Name,
Unfortunately, a problem occurred during shipping and we had to cancel your delivery. The package is being returned, and we will issue a refund within 5 - 7 business days after the return is processed. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.
Orders are FBM sent via RM Tracked 24 - tracking appears normal with one being delivered yesterday and the other schedule for delivery today.
Is it just spam, or is Amazon sending out emails in error?

did it have an order number on it ?
sounds like an FBA order therefore buyer may have placed several orders and presumed it was yours - which it can’t be if its RM and FBM as amazon wouldn’t have that info

Probably spam.
The only way that they could know is if they were tracked.
So if they aren’t and/or the tracking says they are being returned, then it’s a phishing email.

If you Google that exact message then you’ll find lots of results from confused customers over the past few years so it seems like a genuine Amazon message. Very odd that it’s in regard to an FBM order though, especially since one of them shows as delivered.
