VAT Calculation Service - Which settings to choose?

Hello

I am UK seller who only sellers in the UK. I recently had an email warning from Amazon which said I had failed to generate an invoice for a customer and that this would affect my account health. As such I attempting to set up the VAT Calculation Service which I understand auto generates invoices for business customers.

What are the correct settings for this?

For shipping tax rate, I’ve put same as product sold, for Gift wrap tax rate I’ve also put same as product sold.

Are these settings correct? PLEASE only reply if you know the answer for sure as I have seen some clearly wrong answers been given on other threads.

Thanks
Jack

First question - are you VAT registered ?
If not then you cannot use the VAT calculation service.

Invoices/receipts are only mandatory for orders marked as Business Customer (or if the buyer requests).
If you are not VAT registered then you can declare yourself exempt and Amazon will automtically generate receipts for you via the link below.

Sellers exempt from VAT registration in both the EU and the UK can declare their VAT exemption status and benefit from automated receipt generation.

However, you will need to create an invoice/receipt for any previous Business Customer orders.

For shipping tax rate mine says “Follow the item” and for Gift wrap also “Follow the item”. Not saying this is correct for you, but this is what mine is set too. Hope this helps
