Amazon threatens to suspend my account
I ve been trying to list some silicone ear savers for face masks. They come from China and obviously unbranded. Amazon has been asking me for branding. After resolving the issue using the manufacturer name now they threat me to suspend my account because I have not permission to sell medical devices and face masks. How can you mistake silicone ear savers for FFP3 or N95 masks? I just wonder if anyone ever checks the listings, I mean a real person. I had similar issues before trying to sell charging cables, I received always the same answer (that I need permission from Apple) no matter what I was telling them. It gives me the impression that nobody really ever reads emails or checks listings. Everything must be done by bots. Of note that hundreds of similar products are already selling on Amazon. Honestly just I feel bullied.

I have just had a kids party paper Badger animal mask restricted, I’m starting to wonder if anyone ever checks these things, sure it’s all automated.

I hear your masks and I rise you to my tissue paper confetti…
We have received a notification that we are not allowed to sell medical supplies, therefore they removed our confetti listings… LOL

Is it ever possible to talk to a real person about these issues? I really feel Amazon’s hostility towards sellers.

I’ve had similar things recently. A number of my books have been removed as they say there is a possible pricing error. The fact is the ones they are removing are Signed first editions, and not ordinary copies. The thing is, putting on ordinary run of the mill stock is pointless as the amount of fees (twice as much as other sites I sell on) makes listing them pointless. I have contacted CS about it, but they appear to be ignorant of the book trade (the drawback of dealing with non professionals telling professionals how to run their own business…) …

Sadly Jilly, they have no idea about the book trade. The irony is that Amazon also owns Abe, so they should really know better. Even if they consider the prices are too high, customers have the option not to buy from you. It’s not as if Amazon would turn down their fees when items DO sell…

So its not just me then getting lots of my signed books deactivated for pricing errors (too high)?

Is there anything we can do about this nonsense?
