Photos for approval
Hi,
Is there anyone who can help me with this? I am trying to sell some baby feeder dummies which require approval, but as they are coming from China in clear plastic bags there is no labels on them which mention the manufacturer, address or model number. These looks like are required under the photo section.

You will almost certainly need some form of safety certification to sell these in the UK. Have you researched what you need? You will need packaging to show the manufacturer and the safety standards it applies to.
You need to ensure these are safe for the UK market and you know your responsibilities before listing on Amazon

Just so you know… as the importer, you are considered the manufacturer and responsible as far as CE and UKCA marking and relevant paperwork are concerned, which means if you sell something that potentially harms a child ( or anyone else for that matter) you could quickly find yourself with a frisky room mate in jail.
This is the reason it’s very difficult particularly for new sellers to get into baby and toy categories.

As these are designed to hold food they will need to comply with (EU) No 10/2011 before placing in the UK or EU market. The Chinese manufacturer doesn’t usually do this testing for you.

I wouldn’t touch anything like this no matter what the Chinese manufacturer tells you. If something went wrong with the item in use can you imagine living with the consequences on your conscience?

Hi everyone,
It’s clear now. No worries, I just wanted your opinion, so please don’t jump on me. I do understand the consequences. It’s my first time and learning. The supplier couldn’t provided for these only for other products, therefore I lost money which is not a big problem, but I learned something and the products will be destroyed. My mistake as I didn’t know everything how to start before I bought them.
