Increased FBA fee caused by incorrect amendment to product dimensions
I’ve just had an order fulfilled by Amazon but upon checking the detail of the fees charged, there’s been a significant increase in the fee deducted.
After some digging, it appears that the dimensions of the product have been amended by someone, causing it to now be classed as an oversize product (the length is supposedly 92cm, which is laughable when you consider it’s a football in a box).
I’ve tried reasoning with the support team, but the response is simply that I need to provide manufacturer proof of the specs, which I can’t get. Has anyone else had a similar situation and what was the solution?
Thanks!

Enter the correct dimensions on the “more detail” page from edit in manage inventory.
Contact CS “Other FBA issue” & use this wording(insert your own dimensions)
FNSKU: xxxxxxxxx
Size is incorrect
Unit Volume:900 cubic centimeters
Package Dimensions:30 x 15 x 2 centimetres
These sizings are incorrect by a long way.
Actual size:
Unit Volume:149.76 cubic centimeters
Package Dimensions: 20.8 x 9 x 0.8 centimetres
Please contact FC to remeasure & rectify this sizing error.
No need for proof, they are usually corrected within a few days.

You are right, if you are getting charged higher FBA fees, it indicates that the incorrect dimensions or weight were entered into the listing.
In order to be able to edit the listing, you would need to provide the Seller Support some proof supporting your desired updates, so if you are unable to do so, then the only other option is requesting a cubi-scan, which will mean that Amazon remeasures the dimensions.
However, it is possible that even after having this done, Amazon will still insist that the dimensions are correct, which is a common occurrence.
