Poor review after blackmail denied!

Is it possible to get a poor customer review removed. We use FBA and had someone contact us saying the product is damaged and they wanted me to send them a new item or provide a discount. I explained that under the Rules I couldn’t do either, I offered apologies, explanations etc. They’ve now left a 1 star review (on a 5 star product) after trying to blackmail me with the threat of a poor review.
All communication was through Amazon email. I’m fairly sure they wanted me to send a free product and would then have returned the damaged item to Amazon for a refund. Totally gaming the system.
Is there any point trying to get this review removed?
TIA

If it’s a product review, no chance, unless it’s obscene, contains personal information or breaches one of the few other reasons for removal by Amazon. You also don’t know that the customer was trying it on - things do get damaged, in warehouses or the post etc

As it was FBA, you shouldn’t have engaged with the customer, anyway. Amazon deal with all FBA customer complaints/problems, so you refer the buyer to Customer Services - it’s part of what you pay them for

Hi GMonline

Yes definitely worth a try, especially as FBA so likely to be struck through if damaged during their warehousing or delivery process.
You may get lucky and reach a sympathetic soul, try uslng the link below.
