Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

Thank you for giving us the chance to help you with getting a Global Trade Item Number exemption for brand [ the mug vault].

After a review, we’ve identified that you haven’t provided images that meet all requirements. The images of the product or packaging should meet the following criteria for granting a Global Trade Item Number exemption:

– Provide images of all six sides of the product and tags, unless it’s not possible to capture a six-sided image (for example, a scarf).

– Product images that you provide in the application must be in focus and show the complete product. The text in the images, such as the brand name, must be clearly legible.

– The brand or publisher name that you provide in the application must be an exact match to the brand or publisher name available on the product and packaging.

– Images must be real-world pictures of the products, meaning that the product and packaging can be held or placed on a table while you capture the image.

– Branding must be permanently affixed on the packaging or on the product.

– The product or its packaging must not have a GS1-certified barcode. If a valid GS1-certified barcode is available, you can use it to list products instead of requesting a Global Trade Item Number exemption.

To help us continually improve, we ask that you take a moment to complete our survey below to tell us about your experience with this specific interaction.

So you've bought wall art with another brand on but then made your own label with AI with a different brand on?

I imagine the issue mightbe...

- the brand isn't permanently affixed (as its a sticker) - could you get packaging that shows it printed on?

- Is there any image that actually shows the brand on the product, with the full product in view?

- being picky but the brand is written as the mug vault while the stick is The MUG VAULT (but amazon are known to be nothing if not picky)

mmm . ok so a sticker on the back of the poster .i suppose i could get some custom made brand stickers made up and then put a sticker on the back of the poster.

i did use the same logo on a t shirt (background removed ) and they were fine with that .so it could that the brand /logo etc should be attached to the product in some way ..

A sticker won't work in this case. The brand name has to part of the packaging or the product - not a sticker pasted on it.

I'm confused. It appears you're asking AI to create an image inspired by the work of an artist and wish to claim the results as your own brand.

Leaving aside the ethics of ripping off an artists work for a moment, each piece you create would need its own brand registry which would be a nightmare of constant applications and if someone else instructed AI to produce something similar but not exactly the same any brand registry would be null and void as it isn't an exact replica.

What does the brand represent and how is it unique?

Remember you can't be a brand on Amazon unless your have your brand as a registered trademarked with IPO then you can be registered with brand registry - trademark process takes 2-3 months

How is an interpretation of a Klimt artwork (which as far as I can tell is what the OP has shared photos of) in any way plagarism?
View post

Plagiarism is the representation of another person's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work (according to Google). If anything the items should be branded Gustav Klimt rather than anyone elses brand, the nuance is how acknowledgement is presented.

All they are doing is selling a print and the brand is merely their store.

I agree, a store can be a brand. The brand defined by logo's displayed on/in the store and/or packaging rather than claiming brand approval for a print of an artists work with a sticker added to the back.

Perhaps i'm getting the wrong end of the stick but the impression I get is that the OP is trying to claim brand approval for a print with a label stuck on the back rather than their Amazon store that customers would be buying from and how the item maybe packaged.

Your brand logo will need to be either on the item or on the packaging. If the art is packaged in a box you will need that box to have your logo printed on it.

For example i sell kids dirt bikes. My logo isn't actually on the dirt bike itself. However the box the dirt bike ships in does have my logo on it. So i uploaded various pictures of only the box with my logo printed on it and my brand was approved.
