What good is proof of delivery if Amazon sides with buyer claiming he never received the item????
A buyer claimed he never received the product but UPS has a picture of it sitting at his front door!! The customer tells me that is not his house when Google maps has the exact picture of his house with that door!!
A to Z claim filed by buyer and Amazon sides with buyer and sends him a refund!!! I appealed and in less than 10 minutes that was denied.
WHY??? What is wrong with you Amazon???!!! Buyer is obviously lying!!

Doesn't matter if they are lying-did you buy shipping from Amazon?

Even if it's his House, Someone stole the item, Customer files claim and win

We have had similar situations, but fought the claim. We realised that whenever we used Fedex we won the case.

While it seems that the Buyer is not being honest with you based on your statements, the photo in and of itself MAY prove that the package was Delivered to the correct address, BUT it cannot PROVE that the recipient actually received the package.
A simple internet search will verify that "Porch-Pirates" DO exist. It is for this reason that Amazon will "Blindly" accept a Buyer Claim of INR and give them a Refund.
HOWEVER, you CAN protect yourself from this IF you purchase Postage using Amazon Buy Shipping and ship "On-Time" as defined by Amazon. If you do this you are protected against all such claims.
I recommend you do this from now on to protect yourself.
If you choose NOT to do so, please realize that it is YOUR choice to risk the Sale.
Good Luck!

Well, there you go. It turns out that this was not nefarious, merely inept. It IS the Buyer's responsibility to make sure the Delivery address is correct. While this is an easy mistake to understand, it is still not the Seller's responsibility.
Well, I don't know about you, but the amount of postal "Adjustments" we receive monthly usually amount to less than $.50 per order, and usually amounts to less than $20.00 per month, and often less than $10.00 per month, OR LESS.
meanwhile, just ONE "Loss" of an A-Z Claim like you describe is MUCH greater than the adjustments you speak of, at least for our business.
If the Postal Adjustments for YOUR shipments are more severe, and more consistent, I would highly recommend you investing in a new scale.
That IS your choice, but course, IF you do so you should probably not come to the Forum and then complain if the results of your informed decision are NOT to your liking.

I had this same thing pulled on me last week!! They went back and forth with me trying to get a refund without doing an A to Z. Even after they got the A to Z given to them they still trie getting me to refund it! This one didn't count against me though.
I swear this is a new scam. They even got customer service to say "we know that's not their home...we verify what they say".
It's all BS.

It is a scam. They know Amazon will refund them every time. Supposed;y they can only do this so many times and Amazon will shut down their account.
This is why you use Amazon shipping.
With this you can file and win every time.
Without it, well Amazon doesn't really care.

alot of people bringing up the porch pirates is correct. Other than the Amazon buy shipping, you can also add a signiture to the order as well. But did the customer contact you and did you offer any solution for your issue? Like offering a replacement? Missing these steps can also have amazon not be in favor of seller.

Try signature required for expensive items.

Use Amazon buy shipping , they cover you in these cases.
Unfortunately otherwsise Amazon will side with the buyer and buyers have learned this. Apparently in Amazon world lying is rewarded. Want free return shipping, claim an item is not as described. Want to keep it for free, claim you didnt get it.
