Regarding amazon refund

The product appeared in the system as a return a few times, I contacted the buyer and asked why it was like this, I wanted the product to be sent back to me, how can these amazon administrators make a refund before any process is completed, there is a return policy that I created myself, how can they interfere with my refund periods , 3 times in the same way, although the product was not returned, the money was refunded to the buyer, I am really tired of these bullshit, how can such things happen, I am not an amazon FBA user, I send my products myself, and if there is a problem with my products, after 15-20 days, it is ridiculous. Returns are opened , and money is refunded , how can these processes be ?

Hi

I also send my products out myself. This has happened to me multiple times because of the Royal Mail strikes. Amazon keep giving refunds over my head when orders don’t arrive by when amazon estimates they should to customers and I am losing money.

It’s absolutely ridiculous. I have even tried to appeal a few decisions and still get denied even though the dates are right when a Royal Mail strike has happened.

At this point I just give up and I am putting my shop on holiday a few days before the strikes happen as I am just losing too much money.

Sorry I couldn’t be any help in this frustrating matter!

You would need to clarify a few things, but it’s likely you haven’t noticed the introduction of the new ‘Refund at First Scan’ Policy at the end of October. This would apply if you are in the UK and so is the customer.

Now, when a return request is opened and a prepaid return label is supplied, Amazon will refund the customer at the point it is scanned by the courier. If the product is lost in post or incorrect or damaged when returned, you can open a Safe T claim.

There may be other policies that occur if the order is international, where a returnless refund could be taking place.

The product was delivered and the return case was opened by the buyer, claiming that the product was used, the product is new and never used, the buyer’s strategy to seize the product and I asked the buyer for pictures, I sent a message to better understand the problem, but there was no return, the next day money back it was made by amazon, why? The product was not returned , I was doing this refund event before after the product is returned , . I am not an FBA seller and do business in the UK , I do the shipping myself , I added return policy , solution policy and was refunded without any consideration , refunded to a thief buyer without proper investigation , this is not fair at all

Right OK - so the buyer claimed the item was used. Did they open a return request? Its best not to ask for pictures and just ask them to open a return request. Or did they open an A to Z claim? They can open an A to Z claim once they have contacted you.

Unfortunately, you can’t now add your own return policy - well, you can exceed Amazons but you have to at least meet amazons.

And now there are two policies that take place. One is the prepaid return label where the buyer is provided a prepaid return label at your cost. Depending on the return reason, this label cost may be deducted from the refund.

The second one is refund at first scan where the customer will get a refund once the return has been scanned into the courier network. Either Royal Mail or Evri. If you do not get the item returned, or even if the customer returns an item used that you know you sent out new - you can open a Safe-T claim.

and they should be.

This is Amazon, we all have the same returns policy

If the product isn’t returned you can raise a SAFE-T claim for your refund.

@CYCOMOT you need to look at this bit in Manage Returns below for this specific order.

The Tracking ID is even a link to show you the tracking.

thank you very much everyone ,this is not the first time and it does not seem like it will be the last time , although all the return settings have been checked , I am trying to understand what has changed on the system while there was no problem before , unfortunately the seller team cannot explain this either ,
