FBA Removal Disaster - 3,000+ Units Scheduled for Destruction Due to One Switch, Please Help Us Avoid Bankruptcy
Dear Amazon Seller Community and Amazon Staff,
I’m reaching out with an urgent and devastating situation that could mean the end of our business.
Due to a single setting we were unaware was activated, over 3,000 units of perfectly good inventory have now been marked for automatic disposal. This switch remained dormant for 12 months, and was just triggered, with no warning or grace period. Customer service has told us that once this process is initiated, it cannot be reversed, even though the stock is in perfect condition and could still be sold.
At approximately $20 per unit, this totals over $60,000+ in product losses, which is absolutely crushing for us. We’ve built this brand from the ground up and this is not just inventory, it’s years of work, investment, and jobs on the line.
If we can’t find a way to stop or reverse this, we’ll be forced to lay off employees and shut down the business entirely.
We’re not asking for favors, just for fairness and a chance to correct this before it’s too late. This feels like another mind-twisting Pandora’s box moment many sellers fear in FBA. One unnoticed automation setting shouldn’t destroy an entire business.
If anyone has gone through something similar, knows a workaround, or can help escalate this to someone internally at Amazon who can make a human decision, please, we are begging for your support.
Thank you.

Good afternoon, and thank you for raising this here in the Seller Forums.
Do you have the Seller Support case number where you received this information? I would like to review the details further and determine how best I can assist.

THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU USE FBA

Call and ask for a FBA Captive team member, this should get you either a North American associate or at least one that might know what they are doing. Unfortunately Seller Support is light Russian Roulette, you just never know what you will get. Be persistent, the captive team member should be able to figure it out.

I sure hope that you get a positive resolution to this issue. It seems strange that this can not be reversed. What SWITCH setting is it that triggers this?? .. I am only FBM at the moment, but FBA is my target. tia

Contact an attorney familiar with Amazon and have them send a cease and desist notice

I'm really sorry you're going through this. Here's a suggestion:
Immediately open a case with Amazon Seller Support under "FBA Inventory and Shipments" and request urgent escalation to a FBA Supervisor or Account Health Specialist.
Explain clearly that the inventory is sellable, that it was an unintended system-triggered removal, and request a manual stop of the disposal process based on good faith and operational error.
Also, post the case ID in the Seller Forums (like here) — sometimes Amazon staff browsing the forums can spot it and escalate internally.
Additionally, if you have a brand registry case manager, contact them directly — they sometimes have more authority than general support.
Sending you strength — don’t give up yet!

Why are there so many posts like this where a seller has an urgent matter and needs immediate help, but then never comes back, even when a mod steps in and offers to help?
Makes me wonder if some posters are just trolls...or are, at least, engaging in trolling behavior.
