Our listing was stolen!

Hi all,

We currently found a competitor who used our pictures in their listings and only edited them around, but they are all components of our listings. Is there a way to file a complain to Amazon?

Are you brand registered?

If these images are copyrighted, you can report this right in the Brand Registry portal through the Report a Violation tool!

Please feel free to submit this and then let me know once that's done! At that point, I'll be able to see the ASIN you're talking about and can look a bit deeper into this.

It's pretty easy to report. In the brand registry go to report a violation. Select copyright infringement and provide their asin. Provide a link to your website where the images are derived and provide a description of their illegal activity. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry about that.

Did you get to solve it?

We have a competitor not only stealing my images but also getting the buying box on my listings, even though we are a brand registry.

We are not resellers: We design, produce, and sell the products ourselves, and we do not wholesale to anybody. The situation is even more impossible since the competitor is a Chinese seller, offering my product for a lower price than ours, and we do not ship to China. So, he is not buying our product to resell; he is probably copying our product and selling something else.

That being said, although we are a brand registry, selling on Amazon for almost 10 years now, we have opened 2 cases, but Amazon doesn't accept our trademark since it is still pending.

Anyway, good luck. If you solved the case, please let me know how you did it. Thank you!

I'm not an Attorney, but my understanding is that when a picture is modified, it technically creates a new Copyrighted image. It may be hard to prove Copyright infringement if the image has been modified, but it's definitely worth a try.
