Them times when a customer is proven to be a scammer
(Customer)I haven’t received please can I have a refund
Thanks
(Me)Hi
I’m sorry to hear there is an issue with the delivery.
Royal Mail tracking shows this was delivered on Tuesday 30th June at 12.03pm (details below) with tracking number ****************
Should you believe this to be incorrect, please let me know so i can ask Royal Mail Security to open an investigation as this would then point to theft or fraud, which they take very seriously.
All Royal Mail scanners are GPS enabled which will show the exact point that a parcel is scanned with GPS co-ordinates to further provide where the parcel was delivered.
Regards

(Customer)I did get a package but the top looked tampered with - it only had one item in so I would like refund for one item - I didn’t know if another package would come with another one in . It said on amazon delivery due up to the 9th and then it now says package lost . I’ve paid for 2 items
(Me)Amazon for some reason does not recognise Royal Mail tracking in its system unless the postage is purchased through them. As i use a Royal Mail business account, all our items are tracked through Royal Mail Track &Trace website. Whilst i understand that Amazon like to send a message to their buyers telling them that the item is running late or not delivered, this is not the case and amazon are encouraging their customers to commit fraud by claiming a refund. We get this message at least 3 times a week by customers trying to claim that a parcel is not delivered when it is. We just report to Royal Mail and Action Fraud to investigate. As you are now saying that the parcel DID arrive but was tampered with and one was missing, can you please supply a picture as evidence of the damage, If it was damaged in transit, Royal Mail would have placed the item in a damaged item bag with an apology letter, can you please send a picture of this? All our parcels are weighed at time of posting to produce the label and the parcel posted to you shows 124g which is correct for 2x ******. The parcel is taped with Fragile tape to prevent any opening in transit so i am not sure how one would be missing or opened? I will open an investigation with Royal Mail to look into this and will keep Amazon updated on the progress.
(Customer) Just because the delivery note said 2 items and only 1 in and u accusing me of fraud
(Me) Please see attached photos of Royal Mail dispatch manager showing weight of parcel as 124g.
Please see attached photo of 2x ****** on scale showing 123g (+extra 1g for weight of delivery note)
Please see attached photo of 1x ****** on scale showing 75g
You can clearly see that 2 were posted to you as the scales and Royal Mails dispatch manager do not lie.
By your own admission in the very first message you made a false claim that “I HAVEN’T received please can I have a refund
Thanks ”
You then, after proof was provided, changed your statement to “I DID get a package but the top looked tampered with”
So by your own admission, you was trying to defraud us by at least 1 item, if not both, as you have now admitted that you received delivery of 1 item but was trying to claim a refund for 2?
It is also worth noting that normally in these circumstances, customers do not demand a refund, they ask for the stock they purchased.
(Customer) Ha ha **** off
(Customer) **** off **** off

Well done we are getting quite a few - if the GPS shows the van outside etc we say its delivered they usually leave it then, some do not though. Its triggered by Amazon actually telling them to ask for a refund even though our tracking says its delivered. It does not recognise the tracking data etc seems alot of us are suffering from it.
Good effort for telling them to get lost!

wow - this is a serious problem - we know amazon doesn’t care much what can we do as sellers to protect ourselves?

I get at least 3 a week because of Amazon not recognizing Royal Mail delivery confirmations.
Always… item not received give me refund
Its funny how they never actually ask for the goods they paid for and just want a refund !!?
I have written to managing director to complain but as always, no reply.
It looks very much like amazon are happy to facilitate this fraudulent act time and time again.
I spend more time rebuffing these spurious claims than anything else.
I think its time to email Joe Lycett and let him have some fun.

I hope you have left a reply to the feedback pointing out that the customer was unhappy about being caught out trying to scam you.

nasty piece of work.
I would be happier with a confirmation that a report on a customer has been acknowledged. Even just an email with a single line saying “we’ve received your report”.

They need to be banned off the platform, if a seller acted this way there account would be de-activated

Well done, I have been having a message like this at least once a day. And as you said it’s easy to pick up when they are trying to scam you as they never ask - can you help me to locate my item or can you resend me a replacement. It’s always - I haven’t got it, refund would be great.
I always reply in a similar way as you, confirming what I see on tracking and that item has been delivered. Most of the times I don’t get a reply back , which proves that they were just trying to get stuff for free. We really need to keep fighting this back, so customers stop doing this. It’s getting really annoying. Stay strong everyone and always question customers actions. Even tho it’s so opposite to what Amazon guidelines usually say - believe in customers and refund them.
