Shipment collection refused by UPS
On 8th May I created a shipment via the Send to Amazon workflow and booked a pallet collection via an amazon partnered company (UPS)
On 9th May I then received an eMail from UPs informing me that they could not collect pallets from residential addresses. As such I have been charged by amazon for a collection that cannot be made.
I then contacted seller support who advised me to cancel the collection and create a new case and that they would help obtain a refund.
After following these instructions over the next 48 hours I received a three eMails stating they were investigating this.
I have this morning received an email stating that “all units seem to have been delivered”.
This is not possible as the shipment was cancelled as instructed by seller support.
The eMail also states “a non-Amazon partnered carrier was selected to provide the shipping service for this shipment”
This is also not true, an amazon partnered carrier WAS selected - UPS.
As I had to arrange alternative shipping I am now out of pocket to the tune of one cancelled shipment.
I seem to be going round in circles, does anyone have any help as to who I can contact that might actually help with this?
Any help would be most gratefully received.
Kev

Yes unfortunately many couriers won’t collect pallets from residential due to insurance and access for forklifts
you state you created shipment on 8th and was told you couldn’t go ahead on 9th.
There is usually a 24 hour window where you can cancel the shipment and therefore not pay the cost - did you do that ?

Hi, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately the cancellation window is 1 hour for pallets.

“For pallet shipments, after you have confirmed your shipping selections and accepted the charges, you have one hour to void Amazon partnered carrier charges and get a full refund. After that time, voiding will cancel all shipments you have created, but you will not be able to void the shipping charges.”

This has come up fairly frequently and i don’t recall anyone coming back to say they had gotten a refund. Nor would i expect Amazon to give a refund.

Thanks to everyone for the advice - much appreciate your time and help.
The main obstacle at the moment is Amazon keep saying a non-partnered carrier was used - not true, I used the PCP which was UPS.
