Why are sales in pending for so long

Last week, sales have stayed in pending state …. Is Amazon struggling with shipping items out due to demand… any one know the reason. Thanks

The reason is Coronavirus. Amazon is no different to any other employer in that considerable numbers of staff are off work either ill or self isolating. This is also why many products have vastly extended delivery dates, even for Prime.
