How do you record earnings for tax

I used to request payment every 10 days and record the sales, fees and refunds etc into VT Cash book. But apparently this cant be done now with amazon changing statement view and only having 3 months.

So im wondering how people who dont use quickbooks or an accountant record their sales? Does anyone list each sale individually?

Fairly new to the accounts side of things but we have looked to use FreeAgent.

Sure you can still pull down a statement based on your date figures and import it into that.

Be interesting to see who records individual sales because that would be a nightmare task manually and as far as i know none of the big accounting software companies sync with Amazon UK directly.

I record sale individually by using order and transaction reports from MWS. I use quickfile as the accounting system and have a lot of custom scripts to generate invoices etc. All together it automatically generates and uploads invoices for each customer (even the non-business ones) because I’m VAT registered and that seems to be the direction Amazon is heading in anyway.

At the moment I’m trying to change over to a system that can handle my accounting requirements a lot better (Quickfile can only do GBP base currency). MS Dynamics 365 Business Central looks like the best option so far but will take quite a bit of configuring.
