Inventory lost by Amazon despite having UPS delivery receipt
I send 3 units of a large SKU to FBA via UPS.
I can see from the UPS tracking (including on seller central) that all 3 items were delivered but Amazon are only showing as having received 2. I tried to raise an investigation, but the only response we get is “we had a look, couldn’t find them so have concluded that you never sent the third item - and will not reimburse you”. This is despite me having the formal Proof of Delivery from UPS.
Is it right that, just because Amazon have lost the item (it’s a 600x400x400 18kg box!!) after it was delivered, it’s somehow my fault and they aren’t obliged to reimburse me?

Have you got the stamped BOL from UPS not just proof of delivery?

Currently I’ve just got the PoD downloaded from the UPS website. I’ve also emailed them to ask if they can provide a copy of the stamped BoL.

So your 3 units were 3 separate boxes and the ups BOL says 3 boxes and all the weights match?

Yep. Three individual UPS tracking numbers, 3 boxes, weights and sizes correct. 3 confirmed delivered by UPS, Amazon say only 2 were delivered and it’s not their fault they can’t find the other one.

Contact the MD with all your information, the invoice, the BOL, tracking etc, write a simple email without loads of waffle explaining whats happened and what you want
Good luck

I’m part of the Amazon LaunchPad programme, so have asked them whether they can investigate for me.
