Fake review - Amazon Not interested

We received a fake review from a competitor selling a similar product - we did our due diligence and presented Amazon with 100% evidence of this. After numerous attempts to get this review removed, we have now given up on Amazon and its so-called support for sellers. They don’t read the full information -we know this from the standard replies we receive. Our evidence is overwhelming with documents from UK Government agencies showing the seller details which match those of the buyer.
To add insult to injury Amazon have now blocked reviews from all our products - we know this because two buyers have reached out to us via our own website messaging service.

Does anybody know how to get an unresponsive, unhelpful Amazon to lift this ban?

Are you sure it’s all reviews that are blocked? Amazon do block some buyers for various reasons such as, they haven’t purchased enough, they feel their other reviews are suspicious, etc, etc…

Given the feature I have just seen on Sky News about Amazon fake reviews, I am hoping we will see a change in emphasis from Amazon about tackling this problem. Touch wood……….

All I can say is that you are not alone in this boat my friend. Amazon is very unresponsive and careless in dealing with small sellers, maybe they think we are not worthy of their time and effort.
It’s like banging your head against a wall, ONLY YOU will get hurt!!

Someone left me a bogus review and there was a drop down option to have it removed and it worked. I do sympathise though, there are people abusing the system just like in the real world! Amazon should be more pro-active. Especially if you have the business package. Part of what you pay for there is enhanced customer service. Or so I was told on here.

We have exactly the same. Our manufacturer is selling in Germany and we’re reseller in the UK. We received two negative reviews in one day, basically the same wording and headline. One was anonymous, second one from a male - we sale a strictly female product, man can’t literally use it. These reviews are also almost identical to those 1* reviews our manufacturer received in Germany.

In addition, owner of the competing company purchased our product while ago, under her own name and physical address matching that of the company. She then reported us as fake / inauthentic to Amazon and our listing was automatically suspended. Thankfully, we talked to seller support and together we realised it was a report by competitor, who is even that dumb to buy it under her own name. They confirmed the order number and details who reported it.

We’re now working with our lawyers and will be taking a legal action for unfair business practices.

Bizarre or what? The review ban has now been lifted!! Coincidence - probably not!

Exactly the same problem, a fake negative review was left on one of our products , it was clear and obvious by searching the reviewers history he was being paid for reviews, 32 reviews in 1 day. After reporting to Amazon no response or action, except now i am thinking, like you we are being punished as we have had zero reviews since complaining.
I don’t know what to do , is there a future selling on Amazon against major Chinese suppliers who are manipulating the review system on mass?

In case that the buyers are unable to review your products, it most likely happened because Amazon detected unusual reviewing behavior such as a suspiciously high reviewing rate, which is significantly higher than on similar listings in the same category.

The ability of buyers to leave product reviews is then often blocked.

To have your product reviewed to determine if it can receive reviews, I would advise you to send a Plan of Action that explains:

– A detailed description of all methods you used to post or obtain customer reviews that are prohibited by Amazon policies, or otherwise manipulate reviews.
– Contact information (name, email address, website, etc.) for any third parties you engaged to obtain prohibited reviews or manipulate reviews.
– Identifying information for any customer accounts you or a third party used to post prohibited reviews.
– List of any prohibited reviews remaining on the Amazon site.
– Description of steps you have taken to prevent product review manipulation within your organization and how this will prevent future violations.
