Subject: Help Needed: Unable to Change Business Location & Verification Issues
Hello Amazon Sellers,
I am facing a major issue with my Amazon seller account and need guidance from experienced sellers or Amazon support representatives.
My Situation:
I originally created my seller account as an individual with my personal details.
Later, Amazon requested identity verification, and during the process, I mistakenly clicked on “Update Business Type” and changed my business type to Privately Owned Business.
My business is a US-based Non-Resident LLC, and I have an EIN and a US business address.
However, my business location was already set to Oman (because I currently reside in Oman), and I am now unable to change it to the USA.
The Issue:
Since my business location is set to Oman, Amazon is requesting business documents from Oman, but I don’t have an Oman-registered business.
I contacted Amazon Seller Support multiple times, but they informed me that business location cannot be changed once set.
They suggested that I create a new account with the correct location, but Amazon's policy only allows one account per seller.
My current account is stuck in the verification process, and I cannot change it back to an individual account.
My Questions:
1. Can I create a new seller account with a different email but using the same personal details (name, passport, bank statement) along with my correct US business details (EIN, business address)?
2. Do I need to close my current account first before creating a new one?
3. If I close my current account while it's under verification, will I face any issues when opening a new account?
I really appreciate any advice from sellers who have faced a similar issue or Amazon experts who can guide me on the best steps to take.
Thank you in advance!

That is a fact. so, your actual account is of no use.
Yes, in case you CAN close it. Then create y new account with another email address.
Yes, for sure (besides of the fact that the system will not allow you to close it). The system sees that you own an unverified account (because you use the same wifi) and will eventually interprete this as a suspended account.
You are in a difficult situation. Your actual account can not be verified because you don't own the necessary documents. And because of this you can NOT close your account. And because of this you can NOT create a new one....
You will hardly find someone to tell you what to do. IN CASE you can contact seller support, tell them that you changed your mind and that you don't want to create that seller account any longer. It that works and they confirm you that you do NOT own any seller account you can attempt to create a new one.
Whatever, no one can tell you EXACTLY what to do and what will happen.
