Listing Products - Error Message Everytime?

Have been trying to list my new products for 2 weeks(using my own barcodes) but keep getting an error message saying:

“ERROR:
You are using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs, or JAN codes that do not match the products you are trying to list. If you believe you have reached this message in error, please contact Seller Support.”

Ive also tried listing my suppliers new items today and getting exactly the same message (using their barcodes)

Have rang support and have Cases open with them but they are Not helping at all.

Anyone else having these problems?

I am having the exact same problem with my Orthotix Healthcare platform on Amazon. It is so infuriating as I have over 200 product lines and this have never happened before.

Amazon Seller Support is as much use as a chocolate teapot as per usual!

I keep getting the variation error - stating SIZE title can not be used as it clashes with another of my products on a different EAN code.

I am also getting the same message as you on some items - and this is using brand new and unused EAN’ codes from the same supplier I have used for the last 3 years!

If you get any joy or if anyone else has been through this please share with us, as it’s costing us sales.

Many Thanks

Are both of you using directly GS1 supplied EANs, or 3rd Party supplied EANs?

Amazon now appear to be checking that all new listings match the GS1 registered information for that EAN.

The first 8/9 digits of a GS1 barcode identify the company that holds the rights to it.
If what you’re trying to list doesn’t match, then the codes may be useless to you on Amazon from now on.

You are using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs, or JAN codes that do not match the products you are trying to list. If you believe you have reached this message in error, please contact Seller Support

This means the EAN/GTIN barcodes you are trying to use does not match the manufacturers bar code sequence, Amazon’s system checks the sequence.

have you checked nobody else has used the barcode do a search on amazon by barcode

also amazon have started to run checks on titles to stop repeat items being listed so if the title is the same as something listed or similar you will get a error its listed against another ean

We had this problem when trying to list new hardware products .We found if you put generic in as the brand, we were able to list our products again. Don’t know if this bit of information will help anyone else with their listing problems but it might be worth a try.

I suppose it’s not really relevant, but I had the same message a couple of weeks back for a book (2017 publication date, valid ISBN), which seems bizarre to me… took a week for seller support to sort it, but at least they eventually did…

I had this error since I Brand Registered one of the brands we have - now our downloaded excel file (for new stock listings) is preloaded with our Brand Registered name and we cannot list any other brand - get this error every time.

I have Exactly the same problem, and just like you seller support arent supporting. I have a registered trademark, im on brand registry and use codes directly from GS1 with all of my information up to date on their system. Just seems extremely unfair that sellers that have gone to the trouble of setting up and launching a brand using the correct methods are unable to even list a product for sale, its ridiculous. My case has been open for nearly 10 days with almost daily phone calls and nobody has a clue, already sick and tired of chasing them up

Hope the issues get resolved for anybody in the same boat

We bought some EAN from eBay a few weeks ago and got sent this along with them:

If you get an error message in Amazon "You are using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs, or JAN codes that do not match the products you are trying to list. Using incorrect UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs or JAN codes is prohibited… please check if you trying to list well known brands? Amazon checks a few brand for known barcodes of such brand. Using brands as keywords, in title, description or any field in other products may also give that.
For instance they know the barcodes Apple uses and wont let you sell products branded as such under another code, to stop counterfeits being listed on the site.
The solution is to list the product first without using any branding words, save it. Then go back to edit it to include all the words you need. Amazon does not check the barcode when editing, just when first entering it

Anyone with this problem, download a newly generated Advanced excel file for new stock listing and in my experience the Brand is pre-filled in with your registered Brand and nothing can change that in order to accept a different brand.

I don’t think the GS1 codes are the issue, even though that’s the error they throw up, but error codes rarely tell you what is exactly wrong!
