Product Variations
I am relatively new to Amazon Seller and I am trying to learn the ins and outs of how to use it. If I was to create a product variation for two existing products, would only one of the products show up in the search area when a customer searches for key words that are targeted? Or would both still appear? I don’t want to create a variation if we lose one of he two products in the search menu.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Interested in this too - I started off with a variation product, but noticed only one was showing when searched for - If I searched for a common term that all variations shared it seemed to pick a random one to show.
I ended up splitting them up into a separate listing for each one, but if possible I would rather have them together or ideally have amazon show customers the “parent listing” (I believe its called?) so customers know there is a number of patterns to choose from rather than the one random one amazon decided to show them - if they don’t like that one they aren’t going to go into the listing to see the other 6 I have available

Please note that each variation will have it’s own ASIN, sales rank and keywords.
You need to duplicate any applicable keywords from the parent to the ‘child’ product as well, and include some unique ones, specifically ones that indicate size, color, or whatever the other variation is.
