Order not received
I’ve had an email from Amazon saying that they are processing an automatic refund for an order the customer hasn’t received.
The order was sent Royal Mail Tracked, the customer wasn’t home to accept the delivery. Royal Mail attempted delivery twice - on a Friday and Saturday, left a card and the customer didn’t collect the parcel from the Royal Mail.
How can I contest this refund?

You cannot - the order wasn’t received so they are entitled to a refund.
Yes, you’ve paid for shipping and will be out of pocket, but that happens in online retailing.
Do you have a return address on the parcel for it to be sent back to you? If possible contact the holding depot and initiate a return otherwise the customer may now go and get it having been refunded.

The customer is entitled to return for a refund even if they did receive the order (with some exceptions of course)

Was it tracked on account? Someone mentioned once that Royal Mail charge for Tracked 24/48 returns so if this is still the case you’ll also see a surcharge appear for this.
