Royal Mail Account Discounts

Hi all just a quick one as I cant find the answer else where. As many of you will know when you purchase through Royal mail Click and Drop they work out your average weight for the items and then charge you the average weight per item ( 1 parcel weighs 2.5kg 1 weighs 500g RM charge you for 2 x 1.5kg parcels) this obviously makes a saving if you are sending lots of light weight items and one big heavy item. However I noticed today when getting ready to post a 8kg item using RM 24 the price displayed was about £20 ( the normal price ) even though I had purchased about 9 RM 24 parcels each weighing about 400g. Maths wise it means I was sending 10 pacels with an average weight of 1.16 KG if this was processed through CD with light weight RM 24 parcels it would reduce the cost of the item. Does this still occur through Amazon manifests or not?

As you are buying labels on amazon, they will show you the price per individual item.
At the end of each day when you run the end of day report, your manifest will show on rm oba account with your weights averaged and any volume discounts applied

Obviously they can’t show them you at the time of purchase as they won’t know what else you are sending !
