Buyer doesn't like item but has thrown packaging away and refuses to return it
I have sold a framed print for £9 and am informed by the buyer that the print is too dark and they don’t like it. I have informed them that they can receive a full refund if they return the item but they say they are unable to return it because they have thrown away the packaging it came in. They are asking instead for £4.50 refund. There is an implied threat of a negative feedback if I don’t pay them this. Any ideas?

Only you can decide whether you want to make a goodwill gesture by falling in with their demand.
Likewise, only you can weigh up the risk of potential damage to your account if you stick to the rule of “no return, no refund”.
