Clarification of shipping rules please
Could someone please clarify the following for me please? I have asked some of these questions before but got varying answers.
-
if using “buy shipping” via Amazon am I right in thinking that Amazon will only offer you shipping options that meet the fulfillment promise of the order? I ask this question because I understood this to be the case however Amazon let me buy an untracked shipping service for a Premium Shipping order which resulted in me losing premium shipping.
-
when shipping SFP and using “buy shipping” what happens if the parcel is late arriving? On a normal order my metrics would not be unaffected, but I read that this doesn’t apply to SFP, which kind of makes it almost impossible to maintain SFP - especially if using Royal Mail.
-
if shipping SFP and there is a Royal Mail strike will Amazon simply make my product “non-Prime” i.e. remove Prime badge to take this into account or do I have to do that manually?
-
are the only 2 options for SFP still RM and DPD? I can’t find the help article that details this.
Thaks in advance.

No, they will only allow you to use a service which meets the EDD
It’s up to you to ensure you are using a service stated in the policy
Premium specifically states it must be Tracked24 , 48 or Special Delivery for premium
If RM are striking and that’s who you use for SFP, you have to either use another courier or put on holidays
3 but the 3rd is Amazon logistics which is invite only

Is anyone able to answer my number 2 question please? Just had a look at tracking and RM have already managed to deliver one late.
