Variation listings - Buttons or drop down menu
UPDATE, ISSUE FIXED*
- The issue for me was having 15+ variations. I deleted some and it fixed the issue.
Hi All,
I have a listing that is displaying as a drop down menu when I want it to show as buttons.
The variation headers are the correct character count but the items are not showing as I’d like.
Anyone know what’s wrong here?

I find this usually happens with large listings and converts to button after a day or so

Hi Josh,
We use variations quite a bit. Although within character limit, your variation names are quite long which may mean that buttons would take up too much space for 18 buttons. If you have individual images for each variation then you could try uploading them. We often find that a variation with individual main images for each variant will switch from a dropdown to a buttons with image swatches. That would probably mean using a colour variation than a style / size variation which may not be available in your category?
